Periodic inspection (dingjian) is a comprehensive evaluation of bridge technical condition conducted at regulated intervals, complementing frequent routine inspections (changjian). The RIEJIAN inspection system handles data collection, AI detection, defect mapping and report output; the periodic-inspection edition is its scoring extension, built for engineering inspection organizations to complete technical condition scoring on the basis of inspection data.
2. How is automatic scoring implemented?
The system has a built-in rule library based on the “Standards for Technical Condition Evaluation of Highway Bridges” (JTG/T H21). The scoring workflow is: configure bridge type → set weights for each component per the standard → break down into specific members → map defects to the corresponding members → calculate per the evaluation formula → output the bridge score. The entire process has a standard basis and is not an estimate.
3. Is it fully automatic?
No. Two types of human involvement are required: first, minimal configuration modifications on the standard basis (bridge type, component division); second, professional engineer review after defect rating (5 levels), to ensure scoring accuracy. This “automatic calculation + manual review” workflow balances efficiency and compliance.
4. Alignment with current evaluation standards
The system’s fields, defect rating scales and component/member divisions are all developed per the highway bridge technical condition evaluation standard, and reports closely follow standardized requirements. As an industry trend, once routine and periodic inspection data are connected, periodic inspection no longer requires a full-bridge scan; targeted verification of specific points is enough to generate a compliant periodic inspection report, greatly reducing labor and time cost.
